Behaviour
Developing a therapeutic approach to behaviour
The behaviours and values we promote are embodied in our K factors,
Our approach to behaviour is a therapeutic one that aims to foster standards of behaviour that:
- are conducive to teaching and learning
- demonstrate mutual respect for all members of the school community
- ensure that pupils and staff feel safe at school.
We believe in teaching young people to learn the value of themselves, others, society and the environment.
We have an approach to behaviour that prioritises the prosocial feelings of everyone within the dynamic.
Children are familiar with our school Behaviour Code (we have a pictorial version for the younger children to help them understand the consequences of their actions/poor choices.
We use reflection sheets to help to understand challenging behaviours and give children the opportunity to think about what they can do to put things right.
Our Behaviour and Anti-bullying policy is published on the Policies page.
