Kimpton Primary School

Achieving today; ready for tomorrow.

Our Vision and Values

Vision

This vision is inspired by our belief that primary school has a key role in preparing children for their next steps.  Central to achieving this is delivering a broad curriculum which is meaningful and relevant.  We want every lesson to build on previous knowledge and form a pathway to future learning.

We want all our pupils to be engaged with their learning and enjoy the sense of achievement which follows.  We want all our children to have happy memories of their time at Kimpton Primary School, feeling confident and prepared to make the most of their future educational opportunities and experiences.

We are achieving our vision by:

  • Demonstrating a culture of safeguarding, where safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
  • Delivering an ambitious and well sequenced curriculum which prepares our pupils to be life-long learners
  • Knowing our pupils well so that we can raise levels of progress and attainment for all learners
  • Sustaining a positive ethos and culture that supports ongoing improvement across the school

Values

We describe our values as the K-Factors.  They form an integral part of the culture and ethos of Kimpton Primary School.  These are values we want all our children to understand and demonstrate: they are threaded through the PSHE curriculum and are central themes in many of our assemblies.  We expect these values to be modelled by all our staff.  We recognise children demonstrating the K Factors with verbal praise and reward with hub points
